EQUIPPED WITH "GLASS COCKPIT" Bacau - Romania / August 22, 2011: AEROSTAR - ROMANIA, the producer of FESTIVAL R40S light sport aircraft model, is pleased to announce the delivery of the first FESTIVAL aircraft equipped with "glass cockpit". The new aircraft version, named FESTIVAL R40S-GC (Glass Cockpit), is equipped with two DYNON "SKYVIEW" primary flight display systems (D-1000; D-700). One D-1000 Primary Flight Display is used for flight instruments & GPS & Mode-S transponder. The second D-700 Primary Flight Display is used as Engine Management System. The SKYVIEW systems provide auto-pilot capabilities.    FESTIVAL R40S is a low-wing all metal aircraft complying with the ASTM standard for Light Sport Aircraft. The aircraft is an excellent trainer where flight schools benefit from its extremely safe flying characteristics (excellent visibility, very good stability in normal & windy flight conditions) capable of an intensive flight training program (300-500 flight hours per year). The ventilated & heated cockpits allow FESTIVAL to operate during all seasons being very advantageous for a flight school's business success. The uniqueness of the FESTIVAL results from employing a forty-seven inch wide cockpit (possibly the roomiest LSA cockpits on the market today) with side by side seating together with an easy entry/exit canopy design. Solid construction makes the FESTIVAL standout from others. The FESTIVAL enjoys very low operating costs due to the ROTAX 100 hp 912 ULS engine and the aircraft's conventional robust construction.  AEROSTAR - ROMANIA has started the deliveries for the new version. A limited number of aircraft will be sold with a promotional retail price, the configuration including two DYNON "SKYVIEW"displayes (Primary Flight Display; Engine Monitoring System; Mode-S Transponder; GPS; Auto-pilot). The price is including one ready-to-fly aircraft, delivered to the local AEROSTAR's dealer. The first aircraft has been delivered to its owner, the company JANSICK CONSULTING Ltd. (Phoenix - Arizona).
